Women facing a pregnancy in difficult financial circumstances are not always aware of their rights or how to make use of available resources. They can experience high levels of anxiety attempting to understand and access services.
To enable women to experience more autonomy, ease their financial situation and expand their options.
EFRAT’s social worker and her team, together with EFRAT volunteers, provide women with guidance regarding how they can access services and resources. This may include understanding employment rights, public housing subsidies, and how to approach government offices and welfare services.
This is mainly carried out through telephone consultation, offering reassurance and information. EFRAT’s team also links women to volunteer lawyers where appropriate.
